Our guarantee is on the system used as intended: our tabs with our remover. If it does not work, we will work the problem with you by email until it does. The published returns terms still apply, and the honest limit is that an opened solvent cannot be returned, so the guarantee is support, not a refund promise.
This page states no term that is not already published on our returns and shipping pages. Where it summarises them, those pages are authoritative. It invents no refund window, no restocking fee and no money-back period, because a guarantee that only exists on a marketing page is not a guarantee.
The objection this page exists to answer is a fair one, and nobody in this category answers it well. You cannot return an opened bottle of solvent. So what actually happens if you buy it and it does not work for you?
We are not about to promise a refund we have not published anywhere else, because a guarantee invented on a marketing page and contradicted on the returns page is worse than none. What we promise is the thing that solves the problem almost every time: we get on email with you and work through the technique until either it works or we conclude it was our product.
What the guarantee is on
The guarantee is on the system used as intended: our tabs, removed with our remover, applied by the published method. It is a narrow promise on purpose. The Clean Remover was tuned against our own adhesive over roughly ten years, and it underperforms on other brands' tape. If you use it to take out Bellami or Hotheads bonds and it is slow, that is a limitation we publish rather than a fault we can put right, and we will not pretend otherwise once your money is in the till.
None of that stops you buying our tabs for another brand's wefts. The tabs fit any weft base built to the 4cm by 0.8cm standard, and re-tabbing another brand's hair is squarely inside what we support. It is the solvent, pointed at somebody else's adhesive, that sits outside it.
The honest exclusion
Our remover on another brand’s adhesive is outside what we can stand behind. It is slower, it usually needs a second application, and that is a published limitation rather than a defect. Use their remover, then re-tab with our tabs. Read the compatibility doctrine
The terms already published
Nothing new is invented on this page. These are the terms already published elsewhere on this site, restated here so you see them before you buy rather than after.
If any term here differs from the returns or shipping page, those pages are authoritative and we want to know about the discrepancy so we can fix it.
- Unopened products: returnable within 14 days of delivery, full refund less return shipping.
- Opened tape, tabs or remover: not returnable, for hygiene and product-integrity reasons.
- Damaged, defective or incorrect orders: email us within 7 days of delivery.
- Refunds: to the original payment method, 3 to 5 business days after the return reaches us.
- US shipping: free, no minimum, dispatched in 1 to 2 business days.
How to raise a problem with us
This is not a form with a ticket number. A licensed cosmetologist reads the inbox and answers personally, and most exchanges end in one reply, because most of what arrives as a bad bottle turns out to be dwell time, application at the wrong point, or the product mismatch above.
- Email us before you give up on it Write to info@vanityhairsolutions.com or use the contact page. If the fault was visible on arrival, do this inside 7 days of delivery so the returns window stays open while we talk.
- Tell us the sequence, not the verdict Whose tape, how long the solvent sat, where it was applied, whether the bond was pulled before it released, and what the strand felt like afterwards. Photographs beat adjectives.
- We work the technique with you A licensed cosmetologist replies. Most cases end here, because most cases are dwell time or a product mismatch rather than a bad bottle.
- If it is the product, we treat it as one A short bottle, a leaking bottle or tabs that will not bond are a defective order and go down the published 7-day route on the returns page.
Troubleshooting before you email
Before you email, it is worth ten minutes with this table. Every row is something that arrived in our inbox as a product failure and turned out not to be one.
| Symptom | Most likely cause | What to try | When to contact us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bond will not release | Not enough dwell, or solvent on the face of the tab instead of the seam | Reapply at the seam and wait. Do not pull; traction is not release | If two full applications on our own tape do nothing |
| Adhesive left on the hair | The bond was separated under traction before it had let go | Stop, reapply, let it part under a sideways slide with no pull | If a fine-tooth comb still catches at the tab site after correct technique |
| New tab slips in week one or two | Residue on the strand or base, or too light a press | Clean and dry the base, press the full footprint with the tool, 24 hours before the first wash | If it recurs across a full head with the technique corrected |
| Remover seems weak | It is on another brand’s adhesive. This is product mismatch, not a bad bottle | Use that brand’s remover for their tape, then re-tab with our tabs | Only if it behaves this way on our own tape |
| Bottle arrived leaking or short | Transit damage or a fill fault | Photograph it before use and do not decant it | Within 7 days of delivery, under the published returns policy |
| Stinging, burning or scalp irritation | Solvent on skin, broken skin, or an existing sensitivity | Stop the removal, rinse the area with cool water, do not continue | See a clinician first. Tell us afterwards so we can log it |
The most likely cause column reports what we see behind the chair and in the inbox. It is stylist judgement rather than measurement, and our method page sets out exactly what that is and is not worth.
Safety, and what no guarantee covers
Nothing here changes the safety guidance, and no guarantee covers misuse. The Clean Remover is flammable. Its principal solvent, isopropyl alcohol, has a flash point around 53 degrees Fahrenheit, well below room temperature, so ignitable vapour is present in a normal salon. Use it in ventilated space, away from heat, flame, hot tools and anything that sparks.
Keep it away from children. Do not use it on broken or inflamed skin. Avoid the eyes; if it gets in them, rinse with cool water and get medical attention. If a client reports stinging or burning, stop, rinse with cool water, and do not continue the removal.
We have run no dermatological or sensitisation testing on any product, ours included, and we make no allergy claims. Nothing here is medical advice. A reaction is a matter for a clinician, though we would still like to be told, because we log it.
Questions we get asked
Can I return an opened bottle of remover?
No. The published returns policy is that opened tape, tabs or remover cannot be returned, for hygiene and product-integrity reasons. That is a real limit and we are not about to imply otherwise on a page headed guarantee. What you get instead is unlimited technique support by email and, if the product turns out to be faulty, the damaged-or-defective route inside 7 days of delivery.
What exactly does the guarantee cover?
The system used as intended: our tabs removed with our remover, applied by the published method. Within that, if it is not working we will work the problem with you until it does. Outside it, for example our remover used on another brand's adhesive, we can advise but we cannot stand behind the result, and we say so before you buy rather than after.
What if the product arrives damaged or the wrong item ships?
Email us within 7 days of delivery, which is the window published on the returns page. Photograph the packaging and the item before you use it if you can. That is the clearest route we have and it is faster than any diagnostic conversation, so use it first when the fault is visible on arrival.
I bought it and it is not working. What happens first?
We talk about technique first, because the overwhelming majority of not working is dwell time or product mismatch rather than a bad bottle. That is not a stalling tactic; it is where the fix usually is. If technique does not explain it, we treat it as a product fault and go down the returns route.
Does the guarantee cover a client reaction?
No, and no honest guarantee could. We have run no dermatological or sensitisation testing, we make no allergy claims, and a reaction is a matter for a clinician. Patch-test where a client has a history of sensitivity, keep the product off broken skin, and tell us if something happens so we can log it.
Can I return unopened tabs I over-ordered?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery, for a full refund less return shipping, provided the pack is unopened. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 3 to 5 business days of the return reaching us. Those are the published terms and this page does not change them.
Who actually answers when I email?
A licensed cosmetologist. Vanity is a small company in Orem, Utah, and the people who developed the tape and the remover are the people reading the inbox. That is the only reason a support-first guarantee is worth anything: the person replying can tell you what a bond that has not released actually feels like.
